Vicki Clarke and Nikki Gaskell joined forces in 2003 after meeting at a corporate event and quickly discovered a mutual love of food. After seeing a big gap in the market for creative catering options, they put their shared vision for elegant, but unpretentious food and tailored solutions together to create Fresh Catering and Events.

What started as a small operation in a garage is now a full events business running out of an 800 square metre warehouse in Kramerville, Sandton.

After 17 years in the business, Fresh has have become known for their distinctive style and high standards at events as diverse as corporate conferences, birthday parties and weddings. Their expertise has also earned them an impressive client portfolio, but more importantly loyal clients who return again and again for the one-on-one service and consistent attention to detail.

Years later, when Nikki left for the UK, Philippa Pougnet joined forces with Vicki. Philippa has brought a new, young energetic approach to the daily running of Fresh Catering.

Constantly in step with trends, but by no means slaves to them, Fresh’s approach is more personal, and the priority is to create events that suit each particular client, occasion and budget. From sourcing new recipes to tailor-made menus, to designing the décor; each event is unique and customised.

Fresh offers a full end-to-end service, which starts with a concept and ends with the clean-up. Everything in between – from the décor and furniture, to the staffing and bar service, is arranged and handled by the team, whose wide network of service providers and high standards of excellence will ensure a seamless occasion, every time.

As part of our ongoing service to our clients and after numerous requests and suggestions from friends and family, Fresh Home came to fruition. The timing was memorable given that operations started a week before Lockdown in South Africa due to COVID-19. Interesting times for a new venture, but the response has been fantastic and we are going to continue to deliver our delicious meals to you.

We have always been about fresh, vibrant and seasonal produce and have created a menu of our most popular dishes that translate well into a home and office delivery. Whether it’s a weekend braai and you need salads, sides and dessert from us or if it’s an office lunch or supper at home, it’s on the menu and available to you.

Many of our staff have been with us since inception and feel like family and it’s with such family values that we will keep up with delivering delicious, fresh food.
